Cultural competency is a core facilitator capacity. Yet few of us recognize our lack of skill in this area because of the blind spots power imbalances foster within us and the groups we facilitate. Despite well-meaning intentions, our biases significantly limit the effectiveness of our practice and profession of faciliation. From whom we choose to work with as clients or our ability to remain flexible and elegant while facilitating, early experiences of institutional mistreatment left residue on us. This program illuminates blind spots that hinder our capacity to consistently apply our best thinking while valuing every person and perspective. Join us for this transformational workshop where we will learn and practice a framework and tools for social change and healing that increase all levels of capacity – personal, intergroup, organizational, and global – as we build a profound trust through interactive and authentic sharing that starts with you.
